1. About this Manual
Enfield Children's Services have worked for many years with tri.x to produce online procedures which are regularly reviewed and updated and link to relevant additional information where necessary.
We believe that procedures should clear, concise and sufficiently detailed to give an appropriate level of guidance without being unnecessarily prescriptive or tying to legislate for every eventuality.
Some of the key pieces of practice guidance from the previous version have been moved to the Local Resources and are still available.
This version of the procedures manual has been developed to make the most of technical advances which allow the manual to be successfully viewed on most devices with a screen.
2. Amendments
This manual will be updated on a regular basis every 6 months and a summary of the changes will be available via the 'Amendments' button on the Home page. The next scheduled update for this manual is April 2025.
If you would like to suggest a change to the procedures manual discuss your suggestion with your line manager in the first instance.
There may be occasions when it is necessary to refer to earlier versions of the manual. tri.x keep full archived versions of each edition of Enfield's Procedures which are available if required.
3. Local Resources
This manual contains a local resource section which can be accessed via the navigation bar. This library is populated and maintained locally. If there is a resource that you think should be added talk in the first instance to your manager.
4. Glossary and National Contacts
The manual is accessed by readers who may find terms that they are not familiar with. Therefore, a glossary of definitions is available under the resource tab.
There is also a National Contacts resource populated with details of key national agencies and organisations likely to be relevant to procedures user.5. Regulatory Compliance
Every effort has been taken to ensure regulatory compliance. If you discover any errors or omissions, please alert your manager.
